If you value prevention over cure, Wellness covers you for a range of lifestyle services including remedial massage, nutritionists, reflexology, yoga, pilates and travel vaccinations. Wellness is available with any Essentials or Twin Pack product.

Cover to compliment your healthy lifestyle; Wellness lets you claim on a range of services, from reflexology to pilates.
Cover for services that help correct or prevent the onset of adverse health conditions.

Good for:

Regular users of lifestyle services and remedial massage, you can claim up to $1800 every year.
If you have Essentials or a Twin Pack, you can add it to your cover.

Wellness provides benefits for a wide range of lifestyle services, like: remedial massage/ myotherapy, travel vaccinations, nicotine replacement therapy, yoga and pilates programs, nutritionist and herbalist consultations, reflexology, psychology, exercise physiology, health monitoring equipment and preventative equipment.

What are you covered for?

Your Wellness benefits are paid from two groups

Group 1: claim each service until you reach the individual benefit maximum for that service, in any calendar year.

Group 1: Individual Benefit Maximums

Remedial Massage/Myotherapy	Remedial massage treatment assists in healing parts of the body that have been injured or left inactive due to age, illness or injury.	2 mths	$21 (1-6 consultations) $12 (7+ consultations)	$200
Nutritionist	Nutritionists provide advice about food choices for a healthy diet using their extensive knowledge of the nutritional value for foods.	2 mths	$33 (initial) $17 (subsequent)	$200
Travel Vaccinations	Travel vaccinations protect people against disease when travelling. Benefit is payable for typhoid, yellow fever, cholera, meningococcal, small pox, poliomyelitis, hepatitis A and B.	2 mths	On receipt	$100
Nicotine Replacement Therapy	Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) prevents illness by helping members to quit smoking. NRT includes patches, lozenges, gum & Nicotine Inhalers.	2 mths	On receipt	$100
Pilates Program*	Pilates is an exercise style that involves training your muscles to improve posture and alignment.	2 mths	$75 per program	$150

Group 2: claim up to a maximum of $300 on any of the benefits listed. Please note, individual benefit maximums also apply for services included in this Group.

That means you can claim up to a total of $300 across all of those services in any calendar year but individual benefit maximums also apply. Herbalist Consultation	Herbalists prescribe and prepare natural remedies specific to their client's health profiles using plants and plant parts. Providers of Herbalist consultations may provide Western herbal medicine consultations or Chinese herbal medicine consultations. Herbs not included.	2 mths	$25 per consultation	$100	$300
Yoga Program*	Yoga is a system of exercises that help your control of the body and mind. It also improves your breathing and focuses the alignment of your body.	2 mths	$75 per program	$75	$300
Health Monitoring Equipment	Equipment to monitor your health to identify potential illness before it occurs and assist in early preventative strategies being put in place. Inclusions: Bathroom/Body Weight Scales, Cholesterol Monitoring Kit, Blood Pressure Monitor, Pedometers, Heart Monitoring Equipment, Thermometers.	2 mths	On receipt	$75	$300
Preventative Equipment	Preventative equipment prevents injury from occurring when exercising or doing activities designed to improve health. Inclusions: Joint & Back Supports, Braces, Pressure Garments, Aids to Recovery Equipment.	2 mths	On receipt	$75	$300

All Wellness services have a two-month waiting period before you can claim benefits.
Benefits are only payable for services and programs provided by HBF approved providers.

*A single Wellness policy costs $204.95pa based on WA rates, which is equivalent to $3.95 a week when paid annually by direct debit after deducting the Federal Government 30% Rebate on private health insurance.
