HBF Essentials provides benefits towards a wide range of day-to-day health services not covered by Medicare.

HBF Essentials Options

HBF Essentials has four levels of cover to choose from. To view the full range of ancillary benefits and limits available for each level of cover, please refer to the Essentials Policy Details brochure.

1. PremiumEssentials Cover:

The top level of ancillary cover available. It's ideal if you would like to be covered for a broad range of ancillary services and receive the highest level of benefits.

Some of the ancillary services include:

• complementary therapies, chiropractic, dental, first aid courses, optical, osteopathy, physiotherapy and preventative health

2. ExtraEssentials Cover:

You would like to be covered for a wide range of everyday health services but would like to save a little money.

Some of the ancillary services include:

• complementary therapies, chiropractic, dental, first aid courses, optical, osteopathy, physiotherapy and preventative health

3. EssentialsStandard Cover:

You would like to save money by only paying for a standard range of everyday health services.

Some of the ancillary services include:

• optical, dental, podiatry, clinical psychology and some pharmaceuticals.

4. EssentialsSaver Cover:

Ideal if your need for ancillary services is minimal and you would like the flexibility of choosing the services you are covered for. Provides ambulance and general dental cover, plus your choice of two of the following services:

• Major dental (excludes orthodontic and impants) optical, physiotherapy, chiropractic, pharmaceuticals and podiatry
