Free Ambulance Cover for Aged Pensioners

Effective 1 July 2005, the WA State Government introduced a new policy to provide free ambulance services for Aged Pensioners.

An Aged Pensioner is defined as a permanent resident of WA who receives a government age pension as assessed by Centrelink or an age service pension as assessed by the Department of Veteran's Affairs.

Please contact Centrelink on 13 23 00 or the Dept of Veteran's Affairs on 13 32 54 if you are unsure of your pension status. Alternatively log on to the Department of Health's website  for further information.
