HBF GapSaver - Plan ahead and reduce the financial burden.

Being treated in hospital is worrying enough without the added concern of extra expenses. So it's good to know that your can reduce any hospital out of pocket expenses with HBF's GapSaver.

For a small annual contribution that can be paid at the same time as your HBF Hospital cover, GapSaver provides a real benefit that accumulates year after year.

The benefits accumulated can be used to pay any Medical Gap and most other out of pocket expenses charged by the hospital and incurred during your hospital stay (except any hospital excess that applies to your level of cover and out of pocket expenses for ancillary services in hospital).

There are three levels of GapSaver cover.

Benefits are accrued to your membership quarterly, and the balance keeps building year after year until you need to use it. Normal waiting periods apply.

Please note, any accrued benefit will be lost if you cancel your GapSaver cover within the first twelve months. If you cancel your GapSaver cover after twelve months any accrued benefit will be available to you for as long as you remain an HBF Hospital member. In all other cases accrued benefits are not available or refundable.
