At HBF we've introduced an even easier way for our members to take advantage of their optical benefits. We've also ensured that you have an extended choice when it comes to selecting frames and an opportunity to save yourself valuable time when you locate an HBF Optical Participating Provider near you.

Our Participating Optical Providers are now listed as Gold, Silver or Bronze. This rating indicates the choice you'll be offered when it comes to your frames. The rating also lets you know instantly what kind of lenses each provider can supply, when visiting an HBF Participating Optical Provider. Your optical benefits still remain dependant on your particular HBF cover.

Simply present your prescription (from a registered optometrist or ophthalmologist) to one of the participating providers. Show your current HBF member card and the provider will show you the range of HBF approved frames.

The provider will make up your glasses and bill HBF directly. Your glasses are guaranteed for 12 months excluding damage caused by negligent use. Any damage to the frame within 12 months of the purchase date will be repaired with no charge for labour.

Please note that your glasses are recorded against your entitlement for the calendar year in which the optical item is ordered and normal waiting and pre-existing conditions and rules apply.
