HBF Essentials Cover
HBF Essentials provides benefits towards a wide range of day-to-day health care services not covered by Medicare, such as dental, prescription glasses, physiotherapy and chiropractic care.
HBF Essentials has four levels of cover to choose from:
1. PremiumEssentials
PremiumEssentials is the top level of ancillary cover available from us and is ideal if you would like to be covered for a broad range of ancillary services and receive the highest level of benefits. Services covered by PremiumEssentials include dental, optical, physiotherapy and chiropractic services, as well as podiatry, some complementary therapies, osteopathy and first aid courses and kits.
2. ExtraEssentials
ExtraEssentials provides cover for the same full range of ancillary services as PremiumEssentials. While the benefit maximums and entitlements are slightly less, so too are the premiums.
3. EssentialsStandard
EssentialsStandard provides cover for a wide range of services, but saves you money by not including cover for complementary therapies, first aid kits and courses, osteopathy and preventative health. The benefits and maximums entitlements are lower than those for ExtraEssentials.
4. EssentialsSaver
EssentialsSaver provides ambulance and general dental cover (including extractions, simple restorations, scale and clean), along with your choice of two of the following services: Optical, chiropractic, podiatry, physiotherapy, pharmaceuticals or major dental (excludes orthodontics and dental implants). EssentialsSaver is ideal if your need for ancillary services is minimal and you would like the flexibility of choosing the services you are covered for.
