To apply for HBF Health insurance online just follow these easy steps:

1. Read the relevant policy details brochure for a comprehensive description of our health cover. 
2. Fill out our online Health Insurance Application form for instant submission.

You will be contacted by phone if we require further details, or alternatively, you will receive your HBF Health Insurance Welcome Pack in the mail. 

If you have any questions about which level of health cover is appropriate for you, just call our Member Service Centre on 133 423.

Payment Options

With HBF Health insurance you can choose the payment option that is most convenient for you:

• We can send you a Statement, which you can pay at an HBF service centre, over the phone or online. You can choose to pay by statement annually, six-monthly, quarterly or monthly, to best meet your needs.
• You can have your premium taken from your nominated bank account by Direct Debit at fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or annual intervals to suit your personal circumstances.  If you pay by Direct Debit you will save 4% on your premium. All you need to do is contact an HBF Member Service Advisor
  on 133 423.
• Alternatively, if your employer is registered with HBF, you can pay your Health insurance premiums through payroll deductions. You may be entitled to a special concession rate under this option. All you need to do is contact the HBF Corporate line on 1300 132 549.

Claims and Reimbursement

To claim your medical expenses, simply forward a Health Claim form to HBF and attach the account details or the receipt for the account you have paid.

HBF will process the claim and either pay you or pay the provider directly. To have your benefit credited directly to your bank account, simply complete the direct credit section of the claim form, otherwise HBF will mail you a cheque.

Change Policy Details

If you are already an HBF member and you want to change some of your details, visit our Online Member Service Centre at HBF@home.

Once you have completed a short registration form, you can make the following changes online:

• Change your address
• Add your new born to your policy
• Change the details of the dependants covered on your policy
• and much more

Alternatively, just call our Member Service Centre on 133 423 and one of our Member Service Advisors will be able to assist you with any changes you want to make to your policy.
