Repayment options

The maximum terms for HBF Home Loans are set to provide you with the most flexibility. However, you can shorten your loan term by making fortnightly or even weekly repayments - whatever suits your needs.

The maximum terms available are:

  • 30 years for owner-occupier properties
  • 30 years for investment properties
  • 10 years for vacant land (not available on all loans)

With HBF Home Loans you can make additional repayments. Terms vary according to loan type. Full details are available from your Personal Consultant.

Redraw*

When you have extra money available, putting it into your home loan can allow you to repay the loan faster and save on interest. However, there may be times when you need to access the extra money. This is called a redraw facility.  Having access to redraw through your home loan is a great way to safeguard against interest rate increases, or to put extra money away for later use. Full details are available from your Personal Consultant.

Portability

If you're moving house, you don't necessarily need to change your home loan. Just take it with you. A portable HBF Home Loan means you may not have to reapply when you relocate.
So if you decide to buy a new property, you can simply substitute the security you have provided for your existing home loan (fees apply). If your borrowing situation changes, you can switch from one type of home loan to another.  Full details are available from your Personal Consultant.
