Partially covered frames

Visit a participating optical store and receive a minimum 20% discount on most glasses, including a wide range of designer glasses.  

You'll also receive your benefit on top of this discount.

Examples

Sarah

Sarah needs new frames and she doesn't want to pay any out of pocket costs. This year, Sarah will be able to visit any participating optical store and 30% of the whole range will be fully covered by HBF. If the store has electronic claiming, Sarah will be able to swipe her member card and receive full benefits for her frames and bi-focal lenses on the spot, so she doesn't need to pay anything at all. 

 

David

David, who has Premium Essentials, wants to get the new $400 Prada glasses. Last year, he would have received a $116 benefit for his single vision frames and lenses. This year he will receive a 20% discount on the full cost of the glasses AND a $130 benefit. This means David will get $210 in benefits and discounts, saving $94 more than last year.

 

Claire

Claire has some designer frames that she loves, but she needs to replace the lenses each year. Last year, Claire, who has Essentials Standard, received a benefit of $50 for her lenses. This year, Claire will be able to combine her frame and lens benefit so she will receive $90 benefit.
