Our overseas visitors health insurance covers you for any service that the Medicare public health system covers for Australian residents. There are two cover options to choose from - Comprehensive and Standard 

Comprehensive Overseas Visitors Cover

This is our highest level of cover and pays benefits for almost all hospital procedures including maternity, as well as doctors' visits and urgent ambulance. If you want the peace of mind of top hospital and medical cover then Comprehensive Overseas Visitors is a great option for singles, couples and families.

NB: This product complies with the Department of Immigration & Citizenship's minimum requirements.

Standard Overseas Visitors Cover

This is a great value health insurance option that covers most hospital treatment but excludes a few high cost procedures like maternity and joint replacement so the premiums are lower. You’ll also be covered for doctors' visits and urgent ambulance.

How to apply

You can take out Overseas Visitors cover before you arrive in Australia, but make sure the policy begins on the day you arrive and not before.

Take advantage of our optional extras

Although our Overseas Visitors health insurance cover will look after general medical care, you can choose to add an extra level to your health insurance cover.

• Essentials Cover pays benefits towards some commonly used health services including dental, optical, physiotherapy, chiropractics and podiatry. 
   
• Ambulance Plus pays benefits towards non-urgent ambulance transport, such as pre-booked ambulance rides.
