Our HBF Family Doctor Duncan Jefferson is passionate about the health issues affecting Western Australians and has many years of experience behind him to provide valuable health advice.
Dr Duncan trained as a doctor at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and moved to Australia in 1976. He worked as a GP in North East Victoria for eight years before coming to Perth as the founding Deputy Director of the Hospice Foundation in Western Australia.
During his 30 years as a GP, Doctor Duncan has been involved in a number of community health and education initiatives, from being a clinical tutor to UWA and Notre Dame Medical students to consulting local councils, engineering companies, schools and law firms.
Doctor Duncan has also served on the WA Faculty Board of the Royal Australian College of GPs and has been an external clinical teacher and examiner for the College.
Doctor Duncan is a family man – he and his wife Maggie have five children and four grandchildren! He loves his sport and is a keen supporter of Perth’s own Western Force.
