HBF RUN FOR A REASON - two days left to sign up

Don’t miss your chance to join the 9,400 people participating in the very first HBF Run for a Reason [presented by the West Australia] on Sunday, 23 May.

Registrations close at 4pm Saturday, so you have just two days left to get down to the HBF Marquee in Forrest Chase and register.

You don’t need to be a runner, you can jog, walk or stroll in either the Act-Belong-Commit 4.5km route or the more challenging 14km Act-Belong-Commit course through the Northbridge Tunnel.

Registered participants can collect their packs from the marquee where HBF will be conducting free health checks, consisting of blood pressure, cholesterol, height, weight and BMI checks.

You can also get a free video taped gait foot analysis and be professionally fitted for a pair of Brooks runners by the team at Sports Fever.

Everyone has a Reason to participate, whether it’s to keep fit or help fundraise for one of the six chronic disease charities, these people didn’t want to miss out:

“To see if I can go the distance and to be part of the first ever HBF Run for a Reason,” Tricia, Cottesloe.

“I love to exercise and having a Goal event to work for is GOLD,” Anne, Duncraig.

“To support my daughter who has type 1 diabetes, and support Diabetes WA,” Tanja, Cottesloe.

So far 90% of the fundraising target of $200,000 has been raised for Arthritis WA, Asthma Foundation WA, Cancer Council WA, Diabetes WA, Heart Foundation WA and Lifeline WA.
