To be eligible for HBF Registration as an Acupuncture Provider, you must practice solely and exclusively in private practice, as stated in HBF’s 'Fund Rules' (reference: e3.7)

Your membership of an HBF approved association for each profession is a requirement of eligibility for HBF Registration. It is your responsibility to ensure that your Professional Indemnity Insurance and First Aid Certificate plus your Association membership are always current.

HBF dental arrangements*
HBF’s participating dental arrangements are designed to improve dental benefits for your HBF patients. As a participating dental provider, you continue to charge HBF members fees up to your individual fee schedule agreed with HBF.
This schedule is based on the fees you currently charge to HBF members and means that HBF members can get between 60% and 80% back subject to their level of cover, waiting periods and maximums.

This section of our provider registration site contains information for medical practitioners.
It is not a requirement for medical practioners to be registered with HBF. The benefits for GPs or Specialists who register as an HBF provider are that they are able to submit patients’ invoices directly to HBF using the Simplified Billing system, removing the need for HBF members to claim benefits manually.
This service is available to medical practitioners Australia-wide.
