From 13 February 2017, GMF Health will complete its integration with HBF.
HBF and GMF Health aren’t strangers. We’ve been more closely aligned than many people realise. In fact GMF has been an HBF subsidiary for the last 14 years.

As from 13 February 2017 you will become an “HBF member”.
You will remain on the same GMF cover you are on now, and it will retain the ‘GMF’ name e.g. GMF Lite Extras, GMF Mid Hospital.
As part of the integration, there will be changes to some cover benefits. If you have been impacted, all changes are explained in a letter you would have received recently.
There will be no change to base premiums at time of integration with HBF. There may be minor rounding to premiums, subject to payment frequency.

All your new HBF member benefits have been outlined in the HBF booklet sent to you recently and will be effective from Monday 13 February 2017.
You can claim as a GMF member with your GMF member card up until Sunday 12 February 2017. We recommend sending through any outstanding claims for processing now before the transition to HBF.
From Monday 13 February 2017, you will start using and claiming on your new HBF member card.
You can still send through your claims to HBF for processing, but suggest you do this as soon as possible.

From Monday 13 February 2017 you can throw out your old GMF member card as it will no longer be active, and start using your new HBF member card – which you should receive by 13 February 2017.
Yes. After you become an HBF member you’ll still be able to visit our Kalgoorlie branch for support.
The GMF name will only be in the name of your cover. From Monday 13 February 2017, you will see HBF branding in the member communications you receive.
