Who is covered on family cover?

On family cover, you, your partner and your kids (no matter how many you have!) are covered. Just remember to add your kids to your policy.

When do my kids need to come off family cover?

We will cover your kids on your policy until they turn 25, provided they’re not married or in a de-facto relationship and are studying fulltime or earning less than $24,500 per year.

Is there pregnancy and birth cover with no waiting period?

No. Most health funds, including HBF, have a 12-month waiting period for pregnancy and birth cover. This helps stop people from signing up for health cover, claiming and leaving, which drives up premiums for the health fund’s other members.

How can I add or remove someone from my Family health insurance policy?

Life is rarely linear and sometimes we need to add, or remove members from our policy. If you need to change your policy as a result of an addition in the family or a change in your relationship, give us a call on 133 423.
