The road to Rio is paved with no excuses. At least that would seem to be the case for congenital amputee and aspiring Paralympian Brant Garvey.
Two years ago, Brant couldn’t ride a bicycle or run five metres without falling over. A year later he became the first Australian above-the-knee amputee to complete an Iron Man, and in World Record time. Today he is training to qualify for the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
His journey to Rio starts on the day he decided to stop making excuses and just give running a go!
This is his story.
