Expressions of Interest opened this week for the HBF Community Partnerships Program, which will provide up to $300,000 over three years to one community organisation making a positive difference to the health of West Australians.
HBF will form its first three-year Community Partnership in July this year, and intends to enter one new three-year partnership, annually.
“HBF has insured the health of generations of West Australians for 78 years, so health is naturally where we will be focussing our support,” HBF Chief Executive Officer, John Van Der Wielen said.
“There are countless worthy health-related causes that could benefit from funding support, which is why we will ensure the organisations that we partner with are making a tangible, measurable and lasting difference to peoples’ health, here in WA,” Mr Van Der Wielen said.
The HBF Community Partnerships Program is a key pillar in HBF’s newly formed Community Engagement Program, which captures everything HBF and its employees contribute to the local community, including employee workplace giving, fundraising, volunteering and blood donations by HBF employees to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.
In addition to its new three-year Community Partnerships, HBF is also providing ongoing Community Grants periodically throughout the year. The Grants provide one-off funding (from $1,000 - $50,000 per grant) for local health initiatives.
