Physiotherapy is one of the most commonly claimed extras services. It’s included on all levels of HBF extras
cover available for sale, so all you need to do is choose the best fit for you.
Remember, everyone on your cover gets their own annual limit. That means each person, including dependants, can claim up to the limits shown above.

Serve any applicable waiting periods
If you are new to private health insurance, you may need to serve waiting periods. If you
are changing your level of cover or switching from another fund, waiting periods may apply so please contact
us before starting treatment.
Check your benefits and limits
You can check your physio benefits and annual limits by logging into
myHBF. You can see your annual limits at any time, but you will need a service quote from your physiotherapist to complete a benefit quote.
Book an appointment
You can book an appointment at any physio that is an approved provider with HBF. To see
if your provider is covered, call us on 133 423.
You’ll generally be able to claim electronically at your physio. Swipe your HBF member card when you pay, and we will pay the provider directly, on the spot. All you will need to pay is the “gap”, which is the difference between what your physio charges and the benefit that HBF pays to your physio on your behalf.
