Your entry fee helps cover the of organising a safe, well-managed event. This includes closing roads and managing traffic around the city, as well as providing access to first aid and medical officers across all distances and at the finish line. The event also coordinates closely with police and other emergency services in the lead-up and on the day to ensure everyone’s safety.

In addition, your entry fee contributes to the event items and services such as your HBF Run for a Reason t-shirt, timing bib, access to public transport until 3pm on event day, entertainment, your finisher medal, and other items at the finish line like complimentary fruit and massages.

Please note, entry fees do not go directly to the event’s beneficiary charities. The millions that have been raised over the years have come from participants fundraising for a cause close to their hearts. For safety reasons, please note that participants pushing prams must select the Families & Prams category for both the CommBank 3km and Specsavers 12km distances. Prams should keep to the left of the course to reduce congestion. Prams are not permitted in the Brooks Half Marathon distance.
