HBF named Australia’s most trusted private health insurer

HBF has been recognised as Australia’s Most Trusted Private Health Insurer in the 2023 Roy Morgan Trusted Brand Awards.

The second largest not-for-profit health fund in the country, HBF joins 19 respected household names including Woolworths, Bunnings, CSIRO, Bendigo Bank, Fortescue Metals and Cadbury as the brands Australians believe are the most trustworthy.

More than 25,000 people participate annually in the Roy Morgan survey measuring trust levels in 900 brands across 26 sectors.

Category winners are deemed to have displayed unmatched levels of trust compared to their competitors.

The Roy Morgan accolade caps off a year of outstanding recognition for HBF which was also awarded Best Health Fund of the Year 2023 by Finder and Outstanding Value Extras Cover WA 2023 by Canstar.

Both Finder and Canstar, which are Australia’s largest financial comparison sites, use sophisticated rating and assessment methodology to assess the cost, features and performance of hundreds of health products to determine their award winners.

HBF Chief Executive Officer Dr Lachlan Henderson said: “It is pleasing to have our commitment to delivering transparency and value in our health insurance products and services independently recognised by these awards.

“But rather than resting on our achievements, we want to continue driving better outcomes for our 1.1 million members across Australia.

“Over the coming year we will be investing in technology to improve our member experience and expanding our physiotherapy, dental and health services at a time when affordability and access to private health insurance has never been more important.”
