What is involved in a Health Check

  1. Make a booking

    Call your nearest participating pharmacy to make a booking

  2. Private consultation

    A 20-minute appointment to screen for modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors associated with the development of chronic disease.

  3. Instant results

    You'll get instant results on your BMI, waist circumference, blood pressure and cholesterol levels which will help identify your risk factors for disease. The pharmacist will provide advice and support on the next steps.

Can I get a Health Check?

If you’re aged 18 years or older, you can get a Health Check at a Member Plus Pharmacy.

How much does it cost?

It’s $40 for a Health Check at a Member Plus pharmacy which includes your tests. Eligible HBF members can get a fully covered Health Check once a year, depending on their annual maximum#. To find out more call HBF on 133 423.

Do I need to fast?

You don’t need to fast before your appointment because the Health Check is only a screening tool. For more advice, contact your nearest Member Plus pharmacy and speak to a pharmacist.
