HBF has brought together three West Australian icons in a bespoke marketing campaign which launched earlier this month.
Animated quokkas Jack, Buddy and Gracie proved popular on the east coast and now
are the stars of a WA-only campaign which leverages the state’s love of AFL and the
tug-of-war between the West Coast Eagles and the Fremantle Dockers, as the quokkas
try to get to the bottom of what’s best in the west.
The quokkas can be seen across TV, social media, billboards and commuter panels
promoting HBF’s ‘quokk’n’ cover, value and service and reminding West Australians
why HBF is one of the best things to come out of the state.
HBF Head of Marketing and Engagement Louise Ardagh said Jack, Buddy and Gracie
were proud HBF members.
“They’re strong advocates for making sure that their fellow members don’t settle for
anything less than the best when it comes to health insurance,” she said.
The campaign follows the launch of the ‘Don’t settle for a quokka sh!#’ advertising
campaign in interstate markets in February 2020. An ‘80s-inspired ‘I need a zero’ music
video, in which the quokkas pleaded for Aussies on the east coast to hold
out for a zero per cent premium increase in October because anything else was ‘a
quokka sh!#’, received more than one million views on YouTube and also resulted in
strong net policy growth.
HBF is one of the most trusted private health insurers in the country and celebrates its
80th anniversary in 2021.
