What is the cost for participating in an HBF health support program?

The COACH Program, Osteoarthritis Healthy Weight for Life, and GLA:D are fully covered for members who hold eligible HBF hospital cover and meet the programs’ eligibility criteria. See individual program pages for more information on eligibility criteria.

Are spectators welcome?

Yes! Spectators are welcome and play a big part in the atmosphere on the day. With up to 20,000 additional people expected to attend as support, we encourage spectators to plan ahead, arrive early, and follow event signage and staff directions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. I’m already booked in for a joint replacement, could I still benefit from GLA:D®?

Research^~ has shown that individuals who have completed the GLA:D® program before having a total knee or hip replacement tend to recover more quickly. Provided your surgery date is booked no less than 3 months away, participation in GLA:D® may be beneficial.
