HBF members will soon enjoy special benefits at WA’s two leading sport and recreation venues, thanks to a new agreement between HBF and VenuesWest announced by the Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron today.
Under the agreement HBF will become the naming rights sponsor of Challenge Stadium and Arena Joondalup, to be renamed HBF Stadium and HBF Arena.
From 1 July 2014 HBF members will get discounted entry to facilities and programs at both venues including swimming pools, gym memberships and fitness classes.
Under the agreement free fitness sessions for up to 100 HBF members will be staged at each venue every week.
HBF Managing Director, Rob Bransby said that HBF’s decision to partner with VenuesWest had been driven by the opportunity to encourage more HBF members to be physical active.
“We want to build on the success of HBF Run for A Reason and the HBF Outdoor Fitness Program to help more of our members get the health benefits that come from more
physical activity.
“This is another part of our strategy to become a true health partner for our members, not just a health insurer,” Rob Bransby said.
Rob Bransby said that free open days for HBF members at both venues would be used to encourage members to sample the facilities at both venues.
“Our hope is that we can encourage many members to make use of these world class facilities,” Rob Bransby said.
HBF is Western Australia’s leading health insurer and a valued health partner for its 900,000 members. In recent years HBF has developed a wellness program to help members stay fit and well, including physical activity events such as HBF Outdoor Fitness and the HBF Run for a Reason - one of WA’s most popular community events.
