HBF appoints two non-executive directors to its Board

Mr Mazer has over 25 years’ experience as a senior executive, founder, director, and investor working across Australia, Asia and the Americas, principally in the technology sector. This included eight years at the SEEK Group, where as COO (then Managing Director) of SEEK’s international operations he drove a tenfold increase in the division’s revenue to circa $630m, and as COO of SEEK’s investments he oversaw the deployment of over $450m in seed, venture, and growth capital that helped build technology market leaders such as OES and GO1. He currently holds board positions at Tacklit (Chair and Founder) and E1 (Chair).
Mr Baskerville has over 20 years’ experience as a corporate leader, with expertise in the development and execution of business strategies, consulting, and corporate transactions. Mr Baskerville was the Founder and Managing Director of ASX-listed digital services firm Empired, where over 15 years he grew the company from a small Perth office to having operations across Australia and New Zealand, employing 1,200 people and generating $250m in revenue annually prior to the sale of Empired in 2021 to French multinational consultancy Capgemini. He holds board positions at ASX-listed companies Bravura Solutions Limited (Chair), One Click Group Limited (Chair), and Infotrust Limited (Deputy Chair), as well at unlisted company Monvia Limited (Chair).
HBF Board Chair Diane Smith-Gander AO said: “We’re delighted to welcome Isar and Russell to the HBF Board. The skills and experience they bring further strengthen HBF’s Board as we guide the delivery of HBF’s new five-year strategy, HBF30, and strive towards our vision to create a healthier tomorrow for our members and the community as a purpose-led, not-for-profit organisation.”
Mr Mazer and Mr Baskerville will commence on the HBF Board this month. Their appointments replace an existing vacancy on the HBF Board and the planned retirement of Deputy Chair Brent Stewart later this calendar year.
