Who needs another card in their wallet? Download the digital member card and use your phone to tap and claim at a HICAPS terminal for your covered extras services.*
Requires iPhone (6 or later)
Open the HBF App on your iPhone, then on the dashboard, scroll down
to "Digital card" and tap "Get your digital member card".
Read the terms and conditions, and Tap “Add to Apple Wallet” button
at the bottom of the screen.
In the top right corner tap add. Your digital member card is ready. Find it in your Apple Wallet.
On iPhone with Face ID and Apple Watch, double-click the side
button. On iPhone with Touch ID, double-click the Home Button from
the Lock Screen.
Choose your HBF card in Wallet.
Hold your device near the reader.*
If you have multiple members on your card, you can get the Patient
ID by tapping
when viewing the pass, or from the HBF App.
To process your health claim with iPhone or Apple Watch:
Step 1. On iPhone with Face ID and Apple Watch, double-click the Side Button. On iPhone with Touch ID, double-click the Home Button from the Lock Screen.
Step 2. Choose your HBF card in Wallet.
Step 3. Hold your device near the reader.
If you have multiple members on your card, you can get the Patient ID by tapping when viewing the pass, or from the HBF App.
You can use your HBF Digital Card at any provider with a HICAPS terminal for your covered extras services. It’s important to note that you won’t be able to use your HBF Digital Card for any hospital related claims or for claiming your Momentum member benefits.
No, if you set up your HBF Digital Card on your iPhone it will automatically be added to your Apple Wallet on your Apple Watch.
If you have your HBF Digital Card you don’t need your plastic card to claim for your covered extras services. You can still request a new plastic card through the HBF App, myHBF or by calling us.
If you lose your plastic card you will still be able to claim using your HBF Digital Card, however, please call us on 133 423 so we can deactivate your old plastic card and issue you a new one.
For new members, we will still send you a plastic card which can take up to 7 working days to arrive depending on where you live.
