How do I register for myHBF?
myHBF is an easy way to manage your cover and claims online. To register for myHBF, you'll need to simply complete the online registration form, providing the following details:
- HBF member number
- Name
- Date of birth
- Email address
Once you've completed the online registration form, you'll receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. Once this step is complete, you'll be able to login by accessing myHBF.

What does this termination with Healthscope mean and how does it affect me?
From 4 March 2025, we will no longer have an agreement with the Healthscope Hospital group. This means if you choose to be treated at one of the hospitals below you may experience higher out-of-pocket costs for any new treatments effective 4 March 2025.We encourage you to discuss any concerns in relation to this with your treating specialist to understand if they can facilitate admission at an alternative hospital to avoid any out-of-pocket costs.

There are no other private hospitals in my area. What should I do?
We regularly review our agreements and seek opportunities to grow our hospital network while ensuring we balance the long-term sustainability of our organisation.
We encourage you to discuss any concerns in relation to hospital admissions with your treating specialist to understand if they can facilitate admission at an alternative hospital to minimise any out-of-pocket cost.
If you are currently undergoing any other course of treatment (excluding emergency admissions), you will remain covered until 4 September 2025 or until your course of treatment is concluded. Additionally, all pre-booked maternity services will continue to be covered by the agreement with Healthscope for nine months post termination of the agreement.
We recommend you contact us for a benefit quote prior to commencing any treatment so you know what’s covered and understand any out-of-pocket costs you may incur.
I am currently booked in for a procedure at a Healthscope hospital. Will I have any out of pockets?
There are transitional arrangements for all pre-booked services to ensure that you will not be affected by the Healthscope agreement termination. All pre-booked maternity services are covered by the agreement for nine months post termination. All other pre-booked services (except emergency admissions) are covered by the agreement until 4 September 2025 or until your course of treatment is concluded.
