Is couples health insurance cheaper than buying two singles health insurance policies?
It depends on your health fund and the health cover you choose. With HBF, a couples health cover policy typically costs double the price of a singles health cover policy (before applying the Australian Government Rebate on Private Health Insurance or Lifetime Health Cover loading). We recommend reviewing all options before deciding which level of health cover to purchase.
Can my partner and I have separate health insurance policies?
Yes. You and your partner have the option of either being on a couples health insurance policy, or taking out two separate health insurance policies.
