Member benefits and programs

To be eligible for the fully covered^* program you must:

• Be aged between 18 and 64 years
• Have a diagnosed mental health condition
• Have paid up to date eligible^* Gold, Overseas or Prime Package Silver Plus hospital covers and have served the 2-month waiting period for hospital and psychiatric services
• Have experienced one or more overnight admissions to a private hospital for mental health treatment in the past 12 months

HBF’s Mental Health Hub includes a range of insightful articles and resources to support mental wellbeing. The Australian Department of Health Head to Health website brings together apps, online programs, online forums, and phone services, as well as a range of digital information resources.

If you have an appropriate level of private health insurance cover, you could receive benefits for Hospital psychiatric services (provided on hospital covers) and Psychology or Clinical Psychology consultations (provided on some extras covers).
