As cyber security threats rise, we’re more committed than ever to safeguarding your personal information.
Cyber security measures
We have implemented governance controls and best-in-class capability to manage cyber risks and keep your personal information safe. This includes monitoring our networks and systems around the clock. Our security team gathers and analyses threat intelligence to improve our ability to identify and mitigate potential threats proactively.
Privacy
HBF complies with the Privacy Act 1988 to ensure that your personal information is protected. This includes, but is not limited to, information such as your name, age, gender, address, contact details and sensitive information. To learn more, please see HBF’s Privacy Policy and Private Health Insurance Collection Statement.
Required ongoing training for HBF employees
We extend our commitment to data security through our entire business. All employees that might be involved in using or collecting your data undergo regular training in cyber security and data privacy.
Add a verbal password for extra security
If you want to add an extra layer of security to your profile, we can add a verbal password to your policy. Each time you contact HBF by chat or phone, we will request that you provide us with your verbal password alongside your 3 points of identification before we may access your policy and make any changes at your request.
Links removed from SMS messages
As a security measure, we have removed all clickable links from SMS messages. If you receive an SMS from HBF with a link, don’t click on it and contact us.
