Held on Sunday, 25 May, the event brought together a record crowd of 40,000 participants, uniting the community in a shared spirit of generosity, remembrance and purpose.

The event showcased the power of community, compassion and commitment, with inspiring fundraising efforts from individuals and teams alike. Top fundraising efforts included:

HBF Chief Executive Officer Dr Lachlan Henderson said the event was a powerful reminder of the strength of the WA community.

“It’s an honour to host an event of this scale and humbling to see the real and lasting impact it has on so many lives,” he said.

“It’s the people – the humanity behind every bib – that make this event so special. Whether participants are chasing a fitness goal or running in memory of a loved one, we’re proud to support their journey and their cause.”

“A heartfelt thank you to the WA community for your generosity, to our incredible volunteers, and to our valued partners and sponsors. This year’s outstanding results prove what’s possible when we come together.”

A special mention also goes to The Ferreira family (for MND Association of WA), Anthony Henderson (for Tiny Sparks WA), Emily Ryan (for In Memory of You), and Ally McDermid (for Cooper’s Crew) for their extraordinary efforts.

We thank every runner, donor, volunteer and supporter for making the 2025 HBF Run for a Reason one to remember – and we look forward to doing it all again next year on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
